User Manuals
Two hardware product manuals for uAttend cloud time clocks. Each one takes a buyer from an unopened box to a working clock with employees punching in, then stays useful as a reference for menus, troubleshooting, and warranty.
What these had to do
The same job, two different devices
A product manual is read by someone who has already bought the thing and now needs it working. It is read out of order, under time pressure, often while standing at a wall with a drill. The writing has to survive being skipped.
- Get a non-technical buyer from box to first punch, in five steps
- Cover two setups that diverge: RFID cards on one clock, fingerprint templates on the other
- Stay usable as a reference, not just a walkthrough
- Carry the legal and safety content without burying the instructions
